UL Recognized Components
We produce sew-in flame and fire-retardant fabric labels that have been tested by UL Solutions (Underwriters Laboratories or “UL”) and meet the following National Fire Production Agency (NFPA) specifications:
NFPA 1950 (1951), 2025 Edition
NFPA 1950 (1977), 2025 Edition
NFPA 1970 (1971), 2025 Edition
NFPA 1970 (1975), 2025 Edition
NFPA 2112, 2023 Edition
NFPA 2500, 2022 Edition.
We also offer a fabric label that is a UL-certified component label meeting Canada’s safety standard CAN/CGSB 155.22, Fireline Workwear for Wildland Firefighters.
Being part of the UL Recognized Component program means not only have our products been rigorously tested, but also they are subject to on-going surveillance for performance and high quality.
Manufacturers can save time and money by using UL Registered Components, since no additional testing of Registered Components is needed when undergoing testing certification of your finished product. That means your finished product would not need to undergo testing of its labels when you undertake UL testing for your product.
Keep in mind that The Safety Equipment Institute (SEI) often recognizes UL certified components, so selecting a C.N. Clark Company label may allow you to skip testing of your labels when undertaking SEI testing of your products too.
Please feel free to check out our listing (C.N. Clark Company, File #MH60720) in the UL Online Certification Directory or download a copy of our UL Certificates of Compliance for these products.
